Setting up webcamXP v2.x.x to broadcast video
- Open WebcamXP on your desktop, and connect to your webcam by right-clicking at the first preview panel. A menu wil popup and scroll up to the menu-item “connect” then go to “directx videosources” and check your webcam.
- Now open the tab “web/ broadcast“. Click the button “stop server“.
- The default port of WebcamXP is port 8080. You can change this in another port if you’d prefer. Don’t forget to forward the port to your computers local ipaddress in your routerconfigs when you’re using a router. For help on portforwarding you can visit http://portforward.com.
- Click the button “search WAN ip” If your WAN ip (your external ip address) appears you can click the button “start server“
- Check the box “verify WAN ip every“, this option makes sure that WebcamXP searches automatically for your WAN ip every time interval you have entered. It could be very usefull if your ip changes often.
- Check the box “detect WAN ip” on startup..
- Save your settings at the menu option “file“
