Today I found out Ben & Jerry’s has introduced a new flavour of ice cream: American Pie. By introducing this new flavour Ben & Jerry’s protests against the American government wich spend too much money on bombs and and too less in childs healthcare. In an interview with the ANP, the Netherlands national news agency,  Jerry Greenfield explains the United States spends on a yearly base about 30 milliard dollars for maintenance of 10.000 nuclear bombs, however 20% of the American children are living in poverty. Although America is one of the richest countries of the world, not all children are insured for health care.

 Tuesday morning in New York, the sky is blue, the sun is shining. At 8:45 am local time an airplane crashes   into the North tower of the World Trade Center.. The plane axplodes, with a loud bang and a giant fireball. Everyone thinks it isa horrible accident, until a second plane crashes into the South tower..
“America is under attack” CNN reported. Later that day 2 more planes crash; one in Washington and one in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
Today it is exactly 5 years ago thousands of innocent people died due to these actions of terror.. That’s why IÂ burn this candle, it is in the memory of all the victims of terror anywhere in the world.
The war has started today! Last night I stayed awake to watch the news at the time Bush’s ultimatum to Iraq passed. At 2:15 am dutch time it passed.
I watched CNN all the time. I was on the couch with my pillow and a continental quilt. I lit candles for all innocent Iraqi civillians and other victims of this madness.
After an hour or so I was pretty tired, so I fell asleep to wake up at 3:15 am. Nothing happened so far. So I decided to go to bed. I blew out all candles, and left for my bed.
This morning i geard the USA attacked Iraq about 15 mins later! I think it’s because I didn’t leave the candles burning.
At work no-one of my colleagues seemed to care about the war. I tried to get some reactions, but no-one reacted. Even the customers didn’t react! I cannot stand it!
When I came home from work I heard the USA attacked again. So I immedtiately lit some candles again.
At the news they showed Bush on a meeting about interior politics. Something his daddy forgot when he started the Gulf war 12 years ago. His daddy forgot interior politics and the economy, due to this he wasn’t re-elected a year after the Gulf war. Little George Bush learned from this mistake, and wants to defeat his daddy…
