I guess it is about time for an update since my last post is is from March this year
A lot has happened during these passed months. The main reason I didn’t update anymore is because Fresh and I both signed up for an account in Second Life last January. For this reason our webcams aren’t online that much anymore, since 5 cams running take too much resources from our pc’s and internetconnection while playing Second Life…
Regular visitors of our webcams might remember the rabbitcam, a cam wich was pointed at the cage of my old rabbit Bugs. Well, I’ve got some sad news about Bugs now. We had to put him asleep last April, because the problems with his teeth got worse. He got an inflamation again due to a tooth groing into his jaw, and at the end the medication didn’t do what they were supposed to do. So with a lot of pain in our hearts we had to decide it was better for grandpa Bugs to put him to sleep. Bugs reached the age of 9 1/2 years wich is pretty old for a rabbit.
We also had some stress with our grandma doggie Shanny. At this moment she´s about 13 years old and because of that she´s getting weaker. She get´s ill sooner as before, just like humans.
Last March we had some scarey moments, because she suddenly had diarrhoea. We went to the VET and he gave her some medication, but it got worse and she started to throw up blood as well. We ended up taking her to the animal hospital at Friday night since the VET couldn´t help anymore. We shouldn´t have wait any longer, else she didn´t make it. She had a terrible lack of fluids because of the diarrhoea and the throwing up. It turned out Shanny had some bad infection in her stomach but it was unknown what caused the infection.
Since this infection she gets some special diet food for old dogs with a sensitive stomach, and she is doing much better since she gets the food.
Last September we finally made it to visit my family in Holland. The week we have spent in Holland was great. It was nice and quit, and great to see my parents, sister and some other members of the family again. Next X/mas we will be visiting them again, really looking forward to it!
Since October first I found a mini job here in Berlin. I work for someone who has some apartments for rent for mainly tourists in Berlin Mitte and in our house as well. If some tourists rent an apartment in our house I will be there to check wether everything is fine in the apartments before the guests arrive, I show the tourists their apartment, and tell them something about the environment (shopping, metro stations, etc.) here and give them their keys. I also do some research on the internet. It’s a great job, because I am able to work at home most of the time
That’s about what has happend these past months. I hope to update this site more in the future.

This morning when I woke up it looked like Bugs is looking more interested and he jumped around when it was treat-time for the Shanny and Pugsley. But it lasted only short. Bugs is still lying in a corner, not reacting and sleeping a lot.. He is very weak and only eats when I dip my finger in babynutrtion and hold it in front of him… But the amount he’s eating is not much.. I hope by the end of the day it will get better, because otherwise we need to force him to eat and drink…
To keep him warm we have covered Bugs up with towels.

Last night before going to bed I gave Bugs his meal and noticed he was down. Normally he goes mad as soon as he notices me with his food, now he didn’t do a thing. He didn’t want to eat and as I was recalling the day I found him a bit down all day…
When I picked him up I found out his behind was wet from pee and there were pieces of shit around his anus. It didn’t look like diarrhoea. My b/f and I tried to clean it with water and we found out that area is hurting him…
So today we will go see a vet and we hope the vet can help him…
The stupid thing is, the day before yesterday Robert washere for a visit. He asked how Bugs is doing and we were kind of bugging him by saying Bugs is already pretty old and life could be ending for him any day.

Update:
Just came back from the vet. Indeed it is a problem with his teeth again. It is not directly his teeth right now, but it has something to do with it. Due to the teethproblem in the past Bugs has a nasty and agressive bacteria in his body wich cannot go away anymore. This bacteria causes him to sneeze and produce lots of snot. Recently he has been very stabile on the sneezing and the snot-producing, but instead the bacteria caused an inflamtion in his mouth near the throat. Also this bacteria has spread in his whole body now. He’s got on his back feet left and right 2 injuries with puss in it, but these injuries are hard to see. That’s probably why he was having pain as we tried to clean his behind from poop and urine the other night. The vet gave him an antibiotic shot and a vitamin shot. I need to give Bugs antibiotics for 5 days, starting tomorrow and next Monday I need Bugs to check in again at the vet. Because the inflamation covered the teeth the vet couldn’t see too well if the teehth are troubleshooting. As far as he was able to see things the teeth are ok. But next time he will be able to see more. Bugs is still very inactive and doesn’t want to eat wich makes me feel strange. Normally the vitaminshots give a lot of energy within 30 minutes already. But I think because the bacteria has spread in his entire body now he has lost too much energy…

I want to wish everyone a very happy new year! Hope all of you had a good start of 2006.
Our start was great, we had a friend over for new years and had a grill and lots of drinks as well…
I am still recovering from the past december month. We had a lot of action, and besides all festivities also had a lot of action going on with my rabbit Bugs, who is having problems with his teeth and his foot.
The teeth are operated, he’s still recovering from that, but the foot isn’t ok yet. The doctor doesn’t know what’s the matter with him. Actually, it’s pretty hard to diagnose a rabbit since they cannot speak or make any noise when somethings; wrong.
