Today I was searching in my pc and suddenly found the very first version of liekie.com including the installation ánd all archives of the weblog I made with the blogsoftware Greymatter. Since Wordpress now supports importing posts ánd comments from Greymatter I decided to upload the installation and the archives and try to import all posts wich go back to January 2003. In fact it is the period of the last 2 years I was living in Holland
It wasn’t too much trouble to import the posts and all comments, so from now on you can find back all ramblings I ever made in this weblog.
I still need to edit every single entry, so it gets one or more categories and repair the broken links wich am able to repair and upload some pic and videos again because they are on a server wich doesn’t excist anymore. But this time I don’t need to edit every single com,ent in the database, because the importtool did well on importing them

I guess it is about time for an update since my last post is is from March this year
A lot has happened during these passed months. The main reason I didn’t update anymore is because Fresh and I both signed up for an account in Second Life last January. For this reason our webcams aren’t online that much anymore, since 5 cams running take too much resources from our pc’s and internetconnection while playing Second Life…
Regular visitors of our webcams might remember the rabbitcam, a cam wich was pointed at the cage of my old rabbit Bugs. Well, I’ve got some sad news about Bugs now. We had to put him asleep last April, because the problems with his teeth got worse. He got an inflamation again due to a tooth groing into his jaw, and at the end the medication didn’t do what they were supposed to do. So with a lot of pain in our hearts we had to decide it was better for grandpa Bugs to put him to sleep. Bugs reached the age of 9 1/2 years wich is pretty old for a rabbit.
We also had some stress with our grandma doggie Shanny. At this moment she´s about 13 years old and because of that she´s getting weaker. She get´s ill sooner as before, just like humans.
Last March we had some scarey moments, because she suddenly had diarrhoea. We went to the VET and he gave her some medication, but it got worse and she started to throw up blood as well. We ended up taking her to the animal hospital at Friday night since the VET couldn´t help anymore. We shouldn´t have wait any longer, else she didn´t make it. She had a terrible lack of fluids because of the diarrhoea and the throwing up. It turned out Shanny had some bad infection in her stomach but it was unknown what caused the infection.
Since this infection she gets some special diet food for old dogs with a sensitive stomach, and she is doing much better since she gets the food.
Last September we finally made it to visit my family in Holland. The week we have spent in Holland was great. It was nice and quit, and great to see my parents, sister and some other members of the family again. Next X/mas we will be visiting them again, really looking forward to it!
Since October first I found a mini job here in Berlin. I work for someone who has some apartments for rent for mainly tourists in Berlin Mitte and in our house as well. If some tourists rent an apartment in our house I will be there to check wether everything is fine in the apartments before the guests arrive, I show the tourists their apartment, and tell them something about the environment (shopping, metro stations, etc.) here and give them their keys. I also do some research on the internet. It’s a great job, because I am able to work at home most of the time
That’s about what has happend these past months. I hope to update this site more in the future.

We are at home again..Tuesday September 12 we left for a week of Holland to surprise my dad with a birthdayvisit since he was having his birthday at September 13.
The week in Holland was great, but being at home again is nice. We missed our pets a lot.
My dad was very surprised, and so was the rest of the family. His birthday was nice, almost all uncles and aunties were there and the weather was great. This made up the hour we had to wait before we could take the bus from Hoorn to my parents and the terrible busride..
The rest of the week was nice and easy… On Thursday we went to Enkhuizen by bicycle, on Friday we went to Alkmaar with my sister and on saturday we went to Petten to walk on the beach with my parents and on Sunday we went to visit my family at the Apenheul.

The other day Rico and I went to the biggest footballfanparty in Germany (the fanmiles between the Siegesseule and the Brandenburger Tor in Berlin) to watch the game Netherlands vs. Ivory Coast. Silvio (Ricos brother) works there as a security guard so we brought him sandwiches and watched the game at his tower.
Unfortunately due to very bad weather predictions (a summer thunder storm) we had to go home before the end of the game, because it could get dangerous. The big videoscreens were turned of and the organisation feared the towers of the videoscreens could come down in the storm.
We managed to get home at the same time as the storm started. We will try again next Wednesday as Holland plays vs. Argentina…
