The other day Rico and I went to the biggest footballfanparty in Germany (the fanmiles between the Siegesseule and the Brandenburger Tor in Berlin) to watch the game Netherlands vs. Ivory Coast. Silvio (Ricos brother) works there as a security guard so we brought him sandwiches and watched the game at his tower.
Unfortunately due to very bad weather predictions (a summer thunder storm) we had to go home before the end of the game, because it could get dangerous. The big videoscreens were turned of and the organisation feared the towers of the videoscreens could come down in the storm.
We managed to get home at the same time as the storm started. We will try again next Wednesday as Holland plays vs. Argentina…

 Saturday Rico and I went sight-seeing Berlin by bike… It was my first time on my bike sice the op on my knee nearly 2 months ago.

Never been through berlin by bike. It was pretty chaotic, and I am happy I already did Amsterdam by bike in the period I was living there.  It was also very icey, since we had snow on Friday and during the night it frosted. But we’ve made it safely.

The First stop was the Sieggesseule while were on our way to the Siegesseule we passed by Angela, and I waved kindly to her. There wasn’t much to see at the Siegesseule, so off we went to the Brandenburger Tor. We parked our bikes and walked around a bit. Although it was cold, it was pretty crowded and there were some streetperformers as well…

Final we went to the Palast der Republik. there was a fair going on, so we went to the fair as well and wandered around. Been in some scary machine, turning around, upside down very quickly and hoping not to slide out since the seats were slipery and we had not really something to hold on tight..  We ended in the Berlin eye, having some awesome fews at Palast der Republik by night…
