Last week the mothercompany (Laurus) of the company I work for (Super de Boer) announced some terryfying news.

Due to the supermarket price war wich rged last months, Laurus needs to cut back costs. Only thing left to cut back costs is to reduce the number og department managers and to fire employees in the stores.
And instead of firing employees who were hired latest, they will fire expensive employees. Expensive employees are employees who have reached a certain age and have a permanent fulltime employment contract. In my company, Super de Boer, at least 300 fulltime employees will be fired.
But as there aren’t that much fulltime contracts, Laurus will fire employees with a parttime contract as well.
