Today Ries and I went fishing in the Streekbos, a nature reserve nearby. As it wasn’t too cold, it was ok for me, because I cannot take the cold that well.
After throwing the artificial bait in the reed and in trees for a couple of times, I finally caught a very nice pike.

Ries looked very charming with the bonnet his mum knitted years ago for him.

I even managed to throw my (very expensive) artificial bait in a tree, and it got stuck very badly. I had to climb in the tree (it was at the other end of the ditch) and try to hit it out of the tree using my fishing rod. I almost fell in the ditch, as the twig I was leaning on broke. But somehow I managed to reach for another twig and get hold of it.
I managed to get the eye at top of my fishing rod attached to the artificial bait, so I was able to pull it towards me.

Maybe next weekend Ries and I will go fishing again, but only if it’s not too cold.
